An intensive 4 day project will bring improvements to the trails at Lake Mansfield in spring. Tuesday April 16th - Friday April 19th, our trail contractor, Peter Jensen will accommodate two trail improvement projects that will make the trails even more accessible for all. Peter will complete the accessible trail bed of the Loop Trail. Lake Manfield Volunteers and Greenagers will also work with Peter to apply a crushed stone surface to the trail between Christian Hill Road and the Bridge Board walk. This project is being accomplished through collaboration of the town and Great Barrington Land Conservancy.
Volunteers are needed! Hardworking folk( ages 13 and over) are encouraged to be a part of this ambitious project! Registration is required to Volunteer.
PLEASE NOTE: The Lake Mansfield Conservation Forest will be closed during the 4 days of trail work. The newly improved trails will be celebrated at the May 5th Lake Mansfield CleanUp & Family Day.
Funding for this trail improvement project comes through Great Barrington Land Conservancy and the Great Barrington Community Preservation Act.
