OCT 4th 2026 - Volunteers and Walkers were treated to a beautiful day for the 2nd Annual Walk for Conservation. Crisp fall temperatures and sunshine provided the perfect conditions for the walking champions who met up to walk in support of GBLC's trail and conservation efforts. New friendships were formed as champion walkers enjoyed learning about the many volunteer efforts  to be seen along the 5 Mile Lake Mansfield Loop.  The 2 mile walk featured the Riverfront trail, River Walk and a fun stroll through downtown.

The family of Donald Goranson reached out to GBLC to honor him with a memorial tree at Lake Mansfield. They suggested that the gift be used to replace a dying tree in the recently improved beach area.
