Stirring in the breeze between trees at Lake Mansfield is an offering of poetry.
This temporary exhibit started as an idea, that once shared, grew into an idea of community connection.
The poems will be on display through December 30th.
Poems are printed on naturally died muslim and hung with twine here and there, mostly along the forest loop trail.
Here is a response shared in response:
May compassion cool the flames of the world,
and wisdom shine through the clouds of confusion.
---Praising the Buddha
and a poem we also wanted to share:
Walk the one path many a time
Not for knowing but for greeting
the tree at the corner,
for becoming familiar
with the grassy valley
and also the clearing
that again and again
lets in the sky.
Walk the path many a time
Until it is yours.
You are practicing love.
