2017 Pfeiffer Trail Project Accomplished!

All it took was over 119 Volunteer Hours, plus 14 ENERGETIC GREENAGERS, 3 Crew Leaders and one Director, wood harvested at Lake Mansfield and donated by the town of GB. And the funding support of Great Barrington Land Conservancy with grants from Ma Recreational Trail Program, The Fields Pond Foundation, Housatonic Heritage and the Berkshire Environmental Education of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Thank you to all who made this possible.

Taking a Plunge for a Great National Trails Day at River Walk!

23 valiant explorers paddled and hiked their way from River Walk, a National Recreation Trail, along the Housatonic River "trail"  to the Appalachian Trail, a National Scenic Trail. Some of them even took a plunge! The trip was challenging due to river conditions and weather, and it was encouraging to see the great spirit of adventure and good will that marked the day. The Sheffield Land Trust provided midway refreshments and information about their ongoing Tree Project.
