2022 Winter Hike at Housatonic Flats

Many adventurers joined BNRC & GBLC for a winter hike at Housatonic Flats

Snowshoes were provided for novice winter explorers

The first step was to learn how to put on your gear

Then we hit the trail, experiencing the cold squeaky snow

Along the way we stopped to rest and admire the natural habitat

Along the way there was time to meet new friends

We were enchanted by the Housatonic River

And by the dramatic seed pods of the Sycamore and Catalpa trees

We saw many indications of the mammals who thrive here

Hearty adventurers struck out to explore the trail again
